Over the summer, we got a membership at the Frontier Culture Museum. I love this because it means we can go whenever, stay for as long as it feels good, and not feel guilty about failing to wring a whole day out of it. We have some friends who live in Staunton and Waynesboro, also homeschooling, and they sometimes meet up with us there. Our Christmas gift for the kids is that we’re taking them to the Lantern Tours in a couple of weeks. I’m really excited, because I have such lovely memories of going to Christmas events at Fort New Salem, near where I grew up.
