Halloween (or, the cobbler’s children have no shoes)

Silas was going to be the Monkey King for Halloween. The day before Halloween on the Square, he decided he’d rather be a cowboy. So that is what he did.

Except it was about twelve degrees out, so I made him wear his coat. No one knew who he was (favorite guess: Indiana Jones).

I struggled with Petra’s costume. The constraints were ridiculous: She had to be warm. It had to be something that she could crawl OR be in the Ergo OR be in the stroller. She won’t tolerate stuff on her head (hats, headbands, clips). She can’t wear a mask or facepaint.

We went with bumblebee, thanks to a lucky find of some pajamas.

That ended up being a popular costume…
