There’s still no water in the river. The trees haven’t relinquished their leaves yet (I think they’re holding out for Natalie and Logan’s visit next week!). JC says that the green leaves hold so much water that it affects the water level. I love imagining that—the forest canopy like a living river over our heads.
It’s still fun to go for a walk or ride down there and look and remember how transformed it will be when the waters rise.
