Welcome to 2014 (and time machine)

I was looking at some old posts the other day, and I saw that my 2013 goal was to “roll with it.” When I wrote that, I had no idea how much I was going to have to roll with! There have been some good things, of course, but overall, 2013 was unnecessarily challenging. I’m not sad to see it go.

Let’s hope 2014 is an improvement.

Speaking of Time, I’ve decided I want this blog to be sort of a family journal, and I didn’t start it until Silas was 2 (I wanted to share pictures from his Winnie the Pooh birthday party!). I’ve been going back through old facebook posts, stuff from random notebooks, etc, to populate his first year. I’m dating them accurately and not publicizing them through Facebook and G+, but if you’re an email subscriber, you might get some weird posts about Silas’ first words and stuff–that’s all old news. If you want some cute quotes, you can go browse through the old posts in, say 2012, when “Silas Says” became a thing.

Happy New Year, everybody, and good luck out there.
